Double page spread

I started  with the photo from my contact sheet. I then enhanced it in photoshop increasing the saturation and contrast attempting to highlight the rider but also make the photo more exciting and enjoyable.

I then started on the basic layout and some basic graphics which I made in illustrator. I did the basic text to give a rough idea on how I would like the pages to be laid out.  

This is one of the graphics I made in illustrator implying the section of the magazine you are in. I made the shape using path finder tool, then using a brush to give it raged edges.

 This is nearly finished product with only need to input the final piece of text and finish up the positioning of each piece.

This is the finished product in indesign and now will be exported and shown above.

This is a final design draft for my double page spread. I have numbered the features of the page and written above what they are. I tried to use a range of different DPS features making my magazine look more professional.

These are some the scamp copies for my ideas on some double paged spreads that would be in my magazine.

Magazine covers

This is a design which takes away the blue border around the rider and instead enhances the hole photo lighting all the area around him as well. This made is difficult to read the text around the outside so I highlighted it by putting a box around the text and lowered the opacity helping to read the text.

Cut Out Stencil Spray

I have used a range of different techniques to create this piece. I firstly found a portrait picture and put it into photoshop then changed it into three different tones then printed them separately to then cut out, shown below.

I then cut each tone out to make it into a stencil to spray later. I cut all the black on the paper out leaving a white stencil. I then attached a new white piece of paper to the back and sprayed black ink into the stencil. giving the basic area of the portrait.

Also I cut titles out and also cut and sprayed them.

I finally put this into photoshop and colour merged each layer together.
